Classic Upward Bound
The University of Delaware’s Classic Upward Bound (UB) is a federally funded program that prepares students for college by providing tutoring and academic support to 54 eligible students throughout the year.
During the academic year, students meet weekly in the evening for tutoring, and one Saturday a month for a variety of academic workshops.
The residential summer program consists of five weeks of intensive coursework in mathematics (through calculus), laboratory science, foreign language, and English composition/literature.
The students live on the UD campus during the week and are supervised by college students and program staff.
Our emphasis is on building a supportive community emphasizing academic achievement and responsibility. In addition, there are opportunities for cultural, social activities, and FUN!
The Classic Upward Bound program is currently seeking 8th and 9th grade students for our 2016 program. To apply, complete our application and return it to our office by May 15th.
Attention Upward Bound Participants & Parents:
The UB Study Center will resume it's regular Tuesday/Thursday schedule starting Tuesday, April 12th and will end on Thursday, May 26th.
